Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2, 2026

Typeone LLC ("Typeone," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you visit typeone.ai (the "Site") or engage with our services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and message content. This information is stored in our database and used solely to respond to your inquiry.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically (With Consent)

If you accept analytics via the consent banner, we collect the following through our self-hosted analytics system:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Scroll depth (percentage of page scrolled)
  • Sections viewed on the page
  • Referring URL (where you came from)
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet)
  • Button clicks and form submissions

We assign a random visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage and a session identifier stored in session storage. These are randomly generated strings with no connection to your identity. They are not cookies, but they function similarly under GDPR and ePrivacy regulations, which is why we request your consent before setting them.

1.3 IP Addresses

Your IP address is logged with each analytics event. We use IP addresses to filter out our own internal traffic, detect automated bots, and prevent abuse. IP addresses are stored in our database and are not shared with any third party.

1.4 Vercel Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused web analytics service provided by Vercel Inc. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, does not track users across sites, and collects only aggregate performance metrics. It operates independently of your consent choice. Learn more at Vercel's analytics privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Contact submissions: To respond to your inquiry and communicate about our services.
  • Analytics data: To understand how visitors use our Site, identify popular content, diagnose technical issues, and improve the user experience.
  • IP addresses: To filter internal traffic, detect bots, and prevent abuse.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or social media trackers. The only client-side storage we use is:

IdentifierStorage TypePurposeDuration
t1_visitor_idlocalStorageDistinguish unique visitorsPersistent until cleared
t1_session_idsessionStorageGroup page views into sessionsUntil tab/browser closed
t1_analytics_consentlocalStorageRemember your consent preferencePersistent until cleared

The visitor and session identifiers are only created after you accept the analytics consent banner. The consent preference itself is stored regardless of your choice so we can remember not to show the banner again.

4. Data Retention

  • Analytics events: Retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Contact form submissions: Retained for 24 months, then automatically deleted.
  • IP addresses: Retained alongside analytics events (12 months).

You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information only:

  • To comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Typeone, our users, or the public
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf (currently: Vercel for hosting, Neon for database hosting), under contractual obligations to protect your data

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted database connections (TLS/SSL), secure hosting infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for analytics tracking at any time
  • Port your data — receive a copy in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object to processing of your personal data

To withdraw analytics consent, clear your browser's local storage for typeone.ai or contact us and we will guide you through the process.

7.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • The right to delete personal information we hold about you
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share your personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

7.2 EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your data is:

  • Consent — for analytics tracking (which you can withdraw at any time)
  • Legitimate interest — for processing contact form submissions to respond to your inquiry

8. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
